Topic: “Radical Care Leadership: Cultivating Accountability + Trust in the Workplace” with guest speaker Dr. Christine Fonner
Radical Care Leadership is grounded in a simple but powerful truth: people thrive when they experience purpose, belonging, trust, and meaningful agreements. Rather than focusing on how to get people to simply “do their job,” this approach invites leaders and coaches to understand what truly motivates human behavior and how to create the conditions where individuals can contribute at their highest level. In this session, participants will explore how Radical Care Leadership reframes accountability as a relational practice built on trust, clear communication, and shared agreements. Through the lens of ethical coaching practices, we will examine the difference between expectations and agreements, the role of psychological safety, and how leaders and coaches can cultivate environments where individuals feel respected, heard, and empowered. Participants will learn practical strategies for establishing and maintaining agreements, navigating difficult conversations with clarity and care, and strengthening trust within teams and coaching relationships. By integrating emotional intelligence and coaching based communication tools, attendees will gain actionable approaches that support accountability while maintaining compassion and respect. Participants will leave with a framework for leading conversations that cultivate trust, strengthen relationships, and create cultures where people feel connected, responsible, and able to contribute at their best.
