Cathy Mott, MCC, will review the meaning of the eight ICF core competencies:
· Demonstrates ethical practice
· Embodies a coaching mindset
· Establishes and maintains agreements
· Cultivates trust and safety
· Maintains presence
· Listens actively
· Evokes awareness
· Facilitates client growth
She will then present a demo in which she uses all eight core competencies in a single coaching session. Participants will be asked to:
1. track the usages of the eight core competencies,
2. be prepared to identify them, and then
3. discuss the impact of using all eight core competencies together.
Next, she will lead a discussion on how to build the capability to incorporate all eight competencies and, thereby, move towards developing MCC level coaching skills.
