Topic: “Our Brains & Change: Using Five Neuroscience Concepts to Overcome Change Resistance with guest speaker Elizabeth Moran, PCC

Every week thousands of people leaders are asked—or told—to lead through a change they didn't initiate and one that their employees will likely resist. People are complex when it comes to change. We're hardwired to learn and grow on the one hand, while on the other, changes trigger our threat response, causing resistance. Unfortunately, most leaders waste valuable time and energy responding to "resistance" as a problem, further slowing down transformation. This conversation will give coaches greater tools when coaching their clients - team leaders often caught in the middle between those making change decisions and employees who resist them - understand how to better mitigate "resistance," coaching their clients on techniques to help them lead their teams through change with greater peace and confidence.

Key Learning Outcomes
🧠Awareness of the 5 most relevant brain science concepts that can be used to engage employees more effectively to achieve change adoption earlier.
🧠Awareness of the 3 priorities of change leadership, and some key actions that make it more likely employees will buy in vs. resist your change.
🧠Use a simple, communication-based approach for greater success when managing tough questions and emotional reactions.
