About this event

Topic: "Developing and Embodying a Coaching Mindset" with guest speaker Corey Stanford, MCC

How well do you really understand and respond to your clients holistically? How would you know if you unconsciously made assumptions or projected your values and worldviews into your coaching? Join us for an interactive session where you will learn to cultivate an open, curious, flexible, and client-centered mindset—essential qualities that distinguish exceptional coaches. Why This Matters: ICF Core Competency #2, Embodies a Coaching Mindset, might be the least understood and most challenging for coaches. Every coach aspires to embody a client-centered mindset, yet many unknowingly miss the mark. After evaluating hundreds of coaching sessions, Corey Stanford, an ICF Assessor, Mentor Coach, and Master Certified Coach, identified Embodies a Coaching Mindset as the critical Core Competency distinguishing transformational coaching from decent coaching. In This Session, You Will: - Discover why we often listen to our own interpretations instead of hearing what our clients mean to convey. - Learn how to apply principles of Personal Construct Theory to become more client-centered. - Gain practical strategies for nurturing a more open, flexible mindset between sessions. We all develop a unique "operating system" based on our life experiences. These unconscious constructs shape our interpretations, limiting our ability to support our clients fully. This session will give you the tools to recognize and overcome these limitations, allowing for more profound, impactful coaching. Benefits of Attending: Deepen Client Connections: Build stronger, more empathetic relationships with your clients. Enhance Coaching Effectiveness: Go deeper with your clients to support lasting transformation. Continuous Growth: Develop habits and practices that support your ongoing development and embodiment of a coaching mindset.

1. Explain common points of misalignment in coaching sessions
2. Recognize unconscious tendencies that hinder coaching effectiveness
