2020 Kick-off

Cheron Freeman,
2020 ICF Michigan President

Hello everyone! I am super excited to kick off our 2020 newsletter as your Chapter President! Last year, we transformed ICF Michigan through building partnerships with our members, employers, and community advocates. This year, my focus is PARTNER ENGAGEMENT.

I want to make sure we are connected to our partners and meeting their coaching profession needs. Here are some upcoming activities we are working on to support this effort.

1.  New Chapter Website
We have recently revamped our chapter website. The intent behind this change is to enhance our members experience with us and market our chapter features. The new website includes a private login area for members and on-site registration for upcoming webinars and events.

2.  Monday - Email of the Week
Every Monday, you receive emails from us about upcoming events/webinars, chapter activities. Having a designated day of the week for we send emails to you will allow us to keep consistent communication with you.

3.  Virtual Open House
We recognize that we serve coaches all across the state of Michigan. As a way to stay connected in between events, the Virtual Open House will offer members or those who are thinking about becoming members the opportunity to learn more about our chapter as well as ask us any questions you have about the coaching profession.

4.  Official Chapter Meeting
Our chapter meeting will focus on bringing in experts and to discuss new ideas, best practices and new technologies going on within the coaching profession.

5.  Ongoing Events - Coaches Cafes & Coaching Connections & Webinars
Our chapter will continue to host monthly coaches cafes (Royal Oak, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids) and Bi-weekly educational webinars. I would like to personally thank our coaching cafe hosts and our Education Committee for volunteering their time to coordinate these fantastic activities!  We will also host two coaching connections this year.

6.  ICF Midwest Conference - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Super excited to announce our Midwest conference is being held in Milwaukee September 29th - October 2nd. Please save the date on your calendar. Registration details can be found here.

More information will be forthcoming regarding this events in our Monday emails. Feel free to share with us any membership engagement ideas you have. I would love to hear from you!

Also, if you are interested in coordinating any of these activities or looking for an opportunity to grow your leadership skills , we love to have you join our Community Outreach, Marketing, Membership and Education committees. Please reply to this email with an area of interest and we  will have one of the chairs reach out to you. I look forward to working with you!

Cheron Freeman
2020 President, ICF Michigan
