Core Competency Webinar - "Managing Progress and Accountability"

Join us on Tuesday, November 10th from 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern Time
Topic is "Managing Progress and Accountability"

It’s one of the primary reasons so many people are drawn to hiring a coach: they’re looking for accountability. They’ve got their plans, they know the actions theywant to take and changes they want to make, but they’re stuck. Progress is slow. They feel alone on their journey. And they recognize that coaching will support them in moving forward and sticking to their plan. Just how does a coach do that? How do we work with a client to break the cycle of stuck and achieve their goals? This Core Competency call features a discussion about Managing Progress and Accountability and includes an exploration of the current and new competency model language.

This call will be facilitated by ICF Michigan member Scott Pegg, ACC.

ICF Michigan’s Core Coaching Competency Webinar Series

What is it?

This webinar series occurs monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 2:30 - 3:30 pm ET. Each session will focus on one of the ICF Core Competencies. A brief overview of the competency will be provided, but the core learning primarily will occur through group discussion and, as appropriate, coach demonstrations, scenarios, and real-life applications of the competency in a coaching situation.

Why important?
The Core Competencies are the backbone of professional coaching and the credentialing process. As professional coaches it is critical for all of us to understand, and be able to demonstrate, each core coaching competency. Regularly exploring the Core Competencies – in theory, but especially in practice – is essential to one’s development as a coach. This series is part of ICF-Michigan’s goal to encourage, support, and provide resources to any coach wishing to become credentialed and grow their skills. Each coach who becomes credentialed elevates the credibility and accountability of the coaching profession by becoming part of a highly respected community.

Who is it for?
Whether you are a coach preparing for your first or next credential, or a more seasoned coach interested in brushing up on your skills, this series promises to be an opportunity for all coaches to learn from one another and share resources.
