Core Competency Webinar - "Evokes Awareness"

Join us on Tuesday, August 11th from 2:30 - 3:30 pm Eastern Time
Topic is "Evokes Awareness"

At the end of a coaching session, one might say that its success is measured by a single question: did anything change? Does the client have a new awareness that they didn’t have coming into the conversation? It might be a single slice of data, a new perspective, a reframe, or an evocative question that opens new possibilities. Awareness is the BEing that serves as the foundation of DOing. How do we create space and partner with our clients to facilitate awareness that moves them forward? We’ll explore that question and more as we look closely at the role of awareness building in effective coaching.

Session facilitated by Beth L. Buelow, PCC

ICF Michigan’s Core Coaching Competency Webinar Series

What is it?

This webinar series occurs monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 2:30 - 3:30 pm ET. Each session will focus on one of the ICF Core Competencies. A brief overview of the competency will be provided, but the core learning primarily will occur through group discussion and, as appropriate, coach demonstrations, scenarios, and real-life applications of the competency in a coaching situation.

Why important?
The Core Competencies are the backbone of professional coaching and the credentialing process. As professional coaches it is critical for all of us to understand, and be able to demonstrate, each core coaching competency. Regularly exploring the Core Competencies – in theory, but especially in practice – is essential to one’s development as a coach. This series is part of ICF-Michigan’s goal to encourage, support, and provide resources to any coach wishing to become credentialed and grow their skills. Each coach who becomes credentialed elevates the credibility and accountability of the coaching profession by becoming part of a highly respected community.

Who is it for?
Whether you are a coach preparing for your first or next credential, or a more seasoned coach interested in brushing up on your skills, this series promises to be an opportunity for all coaches to learn from one another and share resources.

Each webinar is approved for 1.0 Core Competency CCEU
