Rebecca Kraus, 2015 ICF Michigan President

Dear ICF Michigan Coaches,

How can this possibly be July?  Where has the year gone?

My column this month marks my first 6 months as your ICF Michigan 2015 President and a time to reflect on the year to date. In previous columns I have spoken with you on a variety of topics and have also focused on increasing understanding of all that ICF Michigan, its committees and leaders do in support of our chapter for you.

Recognition of ICF Michigan and its members continues to grow around the country. Our sincere congratulations to the following ICF Michigan coaches who were honored with achievement awards at the June 2015 Midwest Regional Conference in Kansas City, MO:

Barry Demp, MCC, Thomas Leonard Achievement Award

Milton Fletcher, PCC, Leadership Award

Aaron Handelsman, ACC, Avatar Award

Barry and Milton were Past Presidents of PCAM (now ICF Michigan.) Aaron is a new 2015 ICF Michigan Board member and on the Community Outreach Committee. This makes the second year that ICF Michigan was one of the dominant chapters in recognition at the conference, selected from a panel of coaching peers and winning in three of the five categories. Awesome!

So - how are we doing? I'd like to hear from you!  The recognition most important to us is from you, our chapter members and associates! What has been the greatest benefit of your ICF Michigan membership? What programs do you most value and why? What can we do differently? What should we consider adding or changing to increase our value to you? How can we best represent your needs and interests to the ICF Midwest Regional Council and to ICF? Please write me personally at becki@rkrausconsulting.com. I would love to hear from you!

July represents the start of our fiscal year, the joining of new members and renewal of current members. I hope you have made the decision to join or renew your membership with our chapter. Whether it is collaborating with other coaches, continuing your education, seeking opportunities for friendships, partnerships, networking, personal fulfillment, inspiration or a sense of belonging you will find it within our wonderful family of coaches.

One with you,

Rebecca Kraus

2015 ICF Michigan President

JUNE 2015 was ICF Membership renewal month!
Beginning in 2015, ICF Michigan has moved our renewal calendar to start our membership year in the month of June. A new membership or a renewal would therefore span from June 2015-June 2016.

Please note that a membership in ICF does not automatically make the person an ICF Michigan member. At the time of joining or renewing your ICF membership you are asked during the process to provide or confirm your local chapter. We encourage you to name ICF Michigan as your home chapter. The ICF Michigan chapter membership fee is separate and in addition to the ICF fee. If you choose not to join ICF, you may still belong to ICF Michigan by utilizing our ICF Michigan Associate Membership classification. It provides a number of the educational benefits the full ICF Member classification, but limits voting and committee participation.

Don't miss benefiting from all we as a chapter have as resources for our members.  Click here to renew!
